Hurricane Irma was an eye opener for many Floridians who hadn’t seen a strong hurricane make landfall in years. Many South Florida residents scrambled during the days leading up to the storm, ignoring their building’s hurricane preparedness plan or realizing they didn’t have one in place at all.

This panel will discuss the important steps board members and association personnel should take in the event of a storm, while sharing helpful tips on how to properly draft and execute a disaster preparedness plan. They will also discuss how to handle insurance claims for property damage caused by Hurricane Irma.
