With hurricane season is just over 3 months away, condominium Board of Directors, CAMs, and General Managers are facing significant challenges in the property insurance market for condominium associations and their renewals.
Homeowner property and casualty Insurer’s becoming insolvent, fraudulent roof replacement schemes, a mountain of Auto claims, and a large number of Insured’s prevailing over Insurer’s in court, has riddled the homeowner’s insurance market, making the overall environment very difficult for commercial property and casualty policyholders like Associations and businesses. Interestingly, these issues have very little to do with the state’s hurricane exposure.
